Our aim is to help local causes while having fun. As well as a wide social calendar, we regularly help out at community events wherever there is a need, such as the recent Race of Business in aid of Age UK. We meet on the second Wednesday each month at our hall in Springfield Road and every fourth Wednesday for a social night (see pics on our 'Social Calendar' pages to see just some of what we get up to).
Much of our fundraising activities are based around social activities, such as quiz nights, pub nights, raft races and our annual pig race night, to name but a few!
We are probably best known in Chelmsford for our 'carol sleigh' on which Father Christmas visits the residential areas of Chelmsford and the town centre, spreading festive cheer while collecting for a range of good causes (see Charities).

Message in a Bottle is where you keep essential personal and medication details in a small bottle in the fridge.
Paramedics, police, fire-fighters and social services know to look in the fridge when they see the Message in a Bottle stickers.
This can be really helpful if the person you care for has a condition that can suddenly change so that they need medical help; such as diabetes or allergies.
The Message in a Bottle scheme is run across the UK by our Lions Clubs.
Here is a list of outlets for Message in a Bottle.
